It snowed, and snowed,

and SNOWED!!!! About 15" and then some...let me tell you it feels like100!

They called a snowday for our local schools and can I say I had happy children :) They enjoyed playing outside... Check out their fort fun...

I still am not sure why after all of these years I still call Wisconsin my home....I dislike the snow and cold. I am more of your sandals and flip flop kinda girl. And today we have been in for another large dose of the white stuff! YUCK!!! But I have used this time constructively and I update my gallery and website. If you haven't had a chance yet please visit them, the links are in the sidebar --------------------------------->
They both have new pictures and updated events :) I hope that you are not snowed in or out as some cases may be, but are at home and warm! The only good thing may be a snow day for the kiddos....lets cross our fingers. -xxxx-

First I want to start off by thanking everyone who voted for my Totally Tubular flower....you made it a success, and I won!!!!!! Thanks :)

Next I wanted to share with you our recent ongoings! It's been a busy week, but I managed some time to squeeze in some scrapbooking and some pictures. We had Jump Rope for Heart this week, which is a annual tradition for us. This year we jumped in memory of my dad and his battle with his heart.

I also worked on a few pages. Both are based on sketches, here are the sketches and my take on each one:

I finally finished my banners AND I got them up!!! Yea :) Here are the pics of the fun Valentine decorations that we made. My daughters made the 3D heart garland using Fiskars punches!

What's Cooking?

I got bit by a bug today....a cooking bug! I enjoy cooking but I really haven't spent much time in the kitchen lately. While at the grocery store today I was looking at all of the yummy goodies out for the Super Bowl tomorrow, and thought.......I need to make some treats! Off I went and filled up my cart. So tomorrow while the game...I mean commercials are on we'll have full bellies. Here's just some of our menu:

I am soooo excited that I have to share my latest scrappy purchase....TWINE!!! I have been in twine-envy for quite some time now, but now it's all mine :) Now I just have to find a cute way to display it, and get going on some fun projects!!!

When I started this new blog in the fall, I had these amazing intentions of keeping up with it all. Unfortunately I had a major run of bad luck.....and things got put off. Well, I am back now and ready to start anew. I have been trying to heal, and found that crafting has been my therapy. While I haven't been scrapbookng as much as usual, I have been dabbling in some fun home decor projects. Here's my favorite so far...

Project Liked up at Finger Prints on the Fridge

I have seen these adorable book page wreaths all over the web, and thought I can do that. So away I went, only I used some antique sheet music. I purchased a large plastic shopping bag full last summer at a garage sale for $2.00!!!! I knew that it would come in handy sooner or later ;) The rosettes are made from rolled scraps of scrapbook paper from Prima, and glued on. I just love how it turned out, I will share to completed entry once I get the painting done.

The other project that I have started on is Becky Higgins Project Life. I have learned the hard way recently with the loss of my dad, that even those Little things are important. So I wanted to document them so I couldn't forget. So far I am loving it....I never thought that taking a photo everyday could be so hard sometimes....but I am loving the challenge. "O" started basketball for school and what a great way to remember those learning moments, and your first team!

While searching on Facebook, I also found this fun Totally Tubular challenge. You had to make anything that you could come up with out of a plastic bottle....mine is the hair clip. If you get a chance stop over to the Wescott page and vote:

I recently came out of my creative rut to participate in a fun challenge. Wescott tools offered a Totally Tubular challenge...and I just couldn't pass this up. It was to create anything that you could out of a plastic tube. I got right to work, and even convinced my daughter to model.........And my project is one of the finalists.... (yea!!!)

Fiskateers Class CHA 2010

Most of us are familiar with Fiskars, even if you don't know it! It's those orange handled scissors that have been around your house forever....the light bulb just popped on didn't it? I love those scissors to death too, but I do have a few other favorites that I use regularly on my craft projects. A personal favorite that is dear to my heart is the "seal of approval" punch...as I named it myself. (As a Fiskateer....you get to do fun things like that too!) I recently created this mini album for my oldest daughter after a summer trip to Northern Wisconsin, and incorporated several of my other favorite Fiska-tools. Check it out:

My favorite is my trimmer which I couldn't create without! And if you look closely, you'll see a border punch or two and of course some detailed cuts using my fingertip craft knife! What? Hello, and Welcome!

Thanks for following me with my big move! And welcome to those who are new!!! I decided that all our family stuff and my scrapping stuff together is just too much stuff. So this is my paper crafting, scrap booking, artsy-fartsy new blog! Please bear with me as there will be a few changes that will take place as I get settled in! I want to start off by showing you my scrap-studio. I get asked a lot of questions regarding my space, how I organize, and where'd you get that! So I thought that I would share :) Come on in, and have a look around....

This is my paper storage. All sorted in folders by colors.

Under each side of my counter top I have one of these book shelves full of photo boxes and jars. The jars are separated by colors and hold either my flowers or buttons. Each of the photo boxes holds a theme of something, for example fall stickers, school items, or small tools or punches. And they are all labeled accordingly.

These large jars hold all of my trims and ribbon. Each sorted by color.

This is the most amazing storage ever! These are tilt bins and I found them several years ago at Staples. I have three different sizes. They hold large alphabets, and bling.

Tattered Angels Storage.

Stickles storage and go-to items. Like all of my blending sponges, items I am using for a project at the moment.

Adorable antiqued shelf that I picked up just for display purposes. I just had to have it!

Close up of my clothesline that I hang some of my favorite Layouts on. This keeps me motivated and inspired!

Punch storage. I love this system! I found the idea somewhere online and I can't imagine using anything else. I so need to add another organizer as my punches have seemed to outgrow this one.

This is the inside of the closet, I use this area to hold most of my stamping items. The drawers hold stamp sets and ink pads. All of my paints are also kept here in a cupboard organizer and sorted by color.

These shelves are in my closet to hold all of my "stuff." It keeps it organized and off of the floor.

This is my clip-rack. I use it to store items that can be hing, or otherwise would get lost in the shuffle of things. It displays items at an incline so I can see everything at once.
